Passing it on
To assistants, interns and orchestrators in the studio, on panels and in examination committees.
Mentoring and team
Series production with 52 episodes per season and features like “Dragon Rider” (three orchestrators, three mock-up artists) only work when young colleagues quickly take responsibility for cues, orchestration and delivery. Since 2013 I have guided assistants, interns and orchestrators through these productions; since 2026 this is concentrated in the Fat Dragon studio.
Talks and panels

What I pass on
Three things. First, craft before taste: whoever can orchestrate, read timing and deliver a clean cue has the freedom to make artistic decisions. Second, work with real partners early, with directors, editors, sound designers and musicians, because film music is made in dialogue. Third, animation, series, documentary, stage and audiobook make different demands; knowing them lets you choose.
